First, the refrigerator, true guardian of the palate's treasures. It must be the right size, with the perfect style.
Brushed aluminium, lacquered paint or metal- the "safe" is carefully decorated, as though to honour it.
Under the fan is the stove, beautiful, graceful vitroceramic or induction stove.
The heat rises, yet it is hotter still under the magnificent, silent chef's hat.
There are the pots, pans, plates and moulds. Coloured stainless steel,
plentiful Tefal and beautiful containers that wait to receive their delicate dishes.
The knives, ladles, spoons, clips, brushes, graters, whips and sieves are ready.
The beautiful, fine plates are waiting, with their glass and china, gold and silver and ink embroidery.
To set the scene for so much drama, Matières à Suivre Cuisine weighs each pigment as carefully as you measure
out a drink, mixes the colours as if sprinkling spices: saffron and curry powder, cadmium and burnt sienna.
We pour out the ingredients with care and add a drop of water before gently stirring the mixture and smelling the earthy scent.
Then we smooth the mixture on to the walls, decorating them before leaving our creation to simmer.
Walls, decorations, worktops, tables, credenzas, service hatches, bars, objects, plates and salad bowls.
Our plasters look almost as though they have flavours, like delicious recipes: suave, sweet, savoury, spicy,
colourful and smooth....
