Together they sculpt and scarify, glaze and sheen, oil, wax and varnish, stepping back to discover their work anew, marvelling at the material and its power. Claire is a decorator but she doesn't know it. She begins each day as if it were her first day, at the dawn of her talent, as if she knows nothing in order to learn everything better.
